November 2025 sees the dial being turned up on the global phenomenon that is screen tourism, with the launch of the first-ever WORLD SCREEN TOURISM SUMMIT, which takes place on Friday 21st November at the prestigious International Convention Centre, Birmingham at the heart of the UK.
Birmingham has always been known as “Britain’s Second City” and was, of course, the base for the 2023 Commonwealth Games. Located just 70 minutes from London, it’s right at the heart of a £130 billion economy. And a creative/cultural economy at that, with the attractions of Shakespeare’s Country just down the road and the home to the “Peaky Blinders” blockbuster tv series a mile or two away in Birmingham’s Creative Quarter.
For those coming from overseas, no less than 400 global destinations and 140+ direct routes fly into Birmingham International Airport and the airport is just two minutes from the train which will whisk you to the heart of the city in just 10 minutes.
For those coming from within the UK, the country’s rail network sees Birmingham as one of the UK’s major hubs. Rail access from all points is easy, and with 30 million people living within a two-hour drive of the city, access by car on the day couldn’t be easier too!
